Born in London, my parents returned to Somerset when I was the age of 13. Studied ceramics in Cornwall where the rugged coastline had a lasting influence on my work. I was absorbed with the contrasting features of smooth and rough, the effects of light and shade.

Then during a 10-year spell of living in South Africa, I experienced teaching for the first time, re-establishing a pottery class in a local college. This eventually led to setting up a craft stall at the local market.
Having returned home and presently living in Somerset, I have re-established myself and spent the last 8 years developing a range of pieces of semi-sculptural form using stoneware clay.
I produce functional kitchen and garden ware.
