Pottery can range from being a simple item that is used purely for functional purposes to being something that can stir ones imagination and evoke a place, scene or emotion.

Pottery dates back to the neolithic times and has meant many different things to a wide variety of people, it is of the worlds oldest art forms. The techniques used to work clay has remained pretty much the same throughout time. Methods have been refined but the fundamentals have remained the same.
 
 

It is an extremely rewarding medium to work with, allowing one to immitate and explore form, embracing light and shade to create a depth and intensity with textured effects to take shape and, at times, delighting at the results, some of which can be fantastic and usually unintentional!

Having studied art and finding clay a rewarding medium to work with, Tai specialised in ceramics and has spent more than 20 years creating and developing a style which is original and unique.

Tai creates her own line of highly collectable pottery at her studio available exclusively from her, direct.
